Causes a cognitive dissonance with me, and I think it is the vintage-style dial with the modern rubber. I also would vote for leather, especially as the Hanhart bands are quite nice.
I love mine on the stock leather. Not only is it a very comfortable strap, but suits the aesthetic perfectly. The bund strap is cool, but I've never worn it with the pad on. I prefer the thinner profile without it. P.S. looking for that badge someday myself 😁
I think a fitted rubber strap would be an interesting option. I throw mine on a red rubber nato when the Florida humidity kicks in.
That's what kinda separates the Hanhart and other pilot Chronos rated at 100m WR you can actually take a dip. Try that with a Navitimer or a Longines Big eye lol.

Looks fine-but better on leather.
Leather.
@foghorn & @Aurelian 100% agree. Do you guys think a bracelet takes away the vintage looks ? I wondering if it's worth spending the 500 bucks.

Bracelet ruins it. Black leather or a distressed brown strapwould be perfect for that style.

I want a badge too!
