With its careful attention to detail, the Timex Standard shines as one of our most refined everyday watches. This timepiece is designed with versatility in mind, bringing together classic elements with modern materials, including an easily interchangeable brown leather strap crafted from repurposed apple skin. The beautiful, vertically brushed pale gold-tone dial, traditional sub second, and legible Arabic indices bring both nautical and military-inspired flair to your favorite casual watch. Timex
I like the look of this one a lot but it looks like they cut too many corners for me to want to buy it. Mineral crystal, non-leather strap, quartz, and a brass case.
#EOWW (Equal Opportunity Watch Wearer). 7.25" wrist. Since I was a kid, I loved watches. My first watch was an Armitron digital chronograph. I've always had watches since but didn't really appreciate...
I took a look at it and have to agree with your assessment of this one. However, Timex is releasing some great new watches, including a 44mm Harborside Coast Automatic. Here is the real kicker; it has an NH35 movement!
Looks like Timex may be upping their game on their automatic watches!
But the strap is Eco Friendly made from Apple Skins!
Let’s just hope nobody knows how eco friendly chromium isn’t….
@DigitalDivider I definitely agree with you and I am all about budget watches but I don't want the one in the original post. If it were automatic with a leather strap, I would reconsider. Their Marlin sub-dial automatic is more enticing to me, maybe because I have an Orient Kamasu II that ticks all the boxes for me. Right now, I can't get the Q Timex Chronograph out of my head.
I love the look of it. If they would stretch their dollar a bit a improve the materials, it would benefit this piece a lot.

Definitely. As it stands, I would not be willing to pay more than $60 for it.
