Timex X Brooks Brothers Marlin

Cool collab but I prefer the regular Marlin.

Looks nice. Classic balanced Roman dial. Good call to omit the date.

Quite thick for a dress watch at 13mm. Also a lot of steel rehaut and bezel outside the railroad track which makes it look less elegant than if it just had a slim bezel.

At 38mm too big for me personally as I aim for 34mm or under in dress watches.

Nice looking dress watch, but not for me.

Brooks Brothers?? MEH......................

Maybe Smith Bros. or Smothers Bros. but not Brooks Bros.

Oh, it's the automatic, not the nice handwind 34mm. The proportions are inferior, but they worked with what they have. Kudos on going Roman, and the dauphin hands. I could do without the golden fleece, but that's the nature of collaborations. While I'm glad they didn't but a rear window on the case back, this looks like a sticker.

Looking again, I think it might actually be a sticker of some sort on a display caseback. 😬

Thanks for pointing out the dauphine hands. On closer examination they look a bit weird. What is going on with that lume? Maybe just because these are renders not actual product photos.

I think that is just reflections of something on the hands. Since I'm back, I do like that they included goldtone, but feel the NATO should have been an RAF or two-piece.

The little Brooks Brothers text at the bottom replacing the railroad indices is actually pretty slick.

Let's hope it's just reflections.

Tbh I ignored the NATO as it seemed completely at odds with the style of the watch. I'd have preferred two different leather straps.

Good that there's an alternative to stainless steel, though I find it hard to get very excited about modern gold tone since discovering vintage solid gold watches are available for less.

I love it! I saw a straight Brooks Brothers watch (no collab) recently at auction and it looked good. First one I'd seen.

I have a Brooks Brothers I have not worn in some time. I have been thinking of moving it and most of my quartz watches on.

Nice looking watch, especially from a brand who takes their share of knocks from time to time. I would sport this piece anytime.
