Thoughts on Citizen's New Series 8 GMT
Just saw an email from Citizen this morning that introduced the new GMT Series 8. I've never really been fond of GMTs but I give credit to Citizen for continuing to innovate with their automatic movements.
I am partial to the Pepsi bezel version, but I'm not so jazzed about the textured dial. I think a solid blue background would look much more elegant. I can take or leave the integrated bracelet.
Either way, kudos to Citizen for trying something new.

Been collecting watches since around 2014, although the watch that kicked off my obsession was a G-Shock 5600 I received in 2011 as a birthday gift. I currently have about a dozen Casio/G-Shock watche...

Combining two of the latest hypes, integrated bracelet and GMT. Looks like a cross between a PRX and a Seiko5 GMT.
I'm not a huge fan of GMTs but I quite like these. This could be a problem. 🤣

Citizen was making integrated bracelet watches long before the PRX craze started. My two Eco-Drive watches from 2007 and 2013 were both integrated bracelets.

Cool, I’m not going to dig into the Tissot and Seiko archives but I’m sure there are examples of GMTs and integrated bracelets going back to the dawn of time. My observation was only that this watch looks like a mashup of the two I listed.
Bandwagon or not nice watches. I am not usually a fan of gold watches but that looks brilliant !
When I first heard about this, I was intrigued because citizen = good value and quality. And who doesn’t like GMTs? But then I saw that it was an integrated bracelet. I’m not against them but integrated bracelet = no versatility. You really have to love it to buy it.
I think great watches in great quality for a great price.
But for me personally: I would go with the golden one. yolo
