Is this an original design from Pagani Design?

A few weeks ago, I saw a new video on YouTube from Jody at Just One More Watch. He reviewed a Pagani PD1782. Its has a nice looking, retro-motorsports-themed aesthetic to the dial. I believe it uses the tried and true Seiko VK63 mecaquartz movement.

Also, the bracelet is typical Pagani-- solid links, end links and has a milled butterfly clasp. I really dig it and and happy to see some of the typical Chinese homage companies start doing something other than copying the other brands' homework.

Yes, that is an obvious influence. There are quite a few of these retro-inspired chronograph, and they all share a common design theme. I would love to have that Tissot, though.

Yep, a 1970s inspired chronos I would also love to have that Tissot, I love its vintage style

I thought I had bought a PD original until my friend told he thought I was wearing a AP 1159... I like the look of this one! Love the Tissot as well!

They’re such a great value. I can overlook the whole homage business model. For us plebes, we can pretend we have a Submariner or Capt Willard. If they tell time with reasonable accuracy and have a decent build quality, I that’s a nice watch. 🤷‍♂

I have 2 PD homage watches. A GMT bb58 homage and the explorer homage. Compared to my other homage watches pagani is probably my least favorite. For me when I put them on my wrist and look at the details of the watch long enough I can definitely see/feel why they are as cheap as they are.

HOWEVER I do think that pagani makes some of the best chrono homages. Original design, or not this chrono they just released actually looks pretty nice and I plan to pick one up someday.
