What’s on the Operating Table!!
So one of our nurses found out I fidget with watches and he brought me his Chinese clone Panarai… it works but the crown stems seems to be not catching and when you unscrew it just removes itself from the movement … so gonna work on this bad boy… lol…
Anybody know if the case back is a screw down ?

The watch seems to be working fine but you can’t adjust the time though… cuz of the stem
Ok quick update I did manage to get it to change time… weirdlly the screws in this clone were pretty loose and the wheel( the big one was misaligned to pop it back in… so far it works and patient is alive and I didn’t kill it lol…
Not happy how it winds though prbly needs some lube overall I was surprised I manage to assess and get it tuning woohoo!!

Yeah hopefully it’s a quick fix, and surprised myself this clone it pretty good looking!! He said he paid $400 bucks for it 😲
If you can’t fix it you can pay it forward and get him a real Panerai. 😁

That’s what I thinking hopefullly that’s it… the watch is working, he didn’t know it was an automatic so keep winding it? So he might have broken the tip but I haven’t look into it more.. need my magnifying glasses

Hopefully something rather simple. You should show him some of your work, I got him buying a new"Itchi"melon Explorer or something 😉
Hey ichi, the stem may have either broke inside the movement or has been cut short!
If it’s short you can buy tap/spindle extenders👍🏻
You’ll know if it’s broken inside when you remove the mech and try to insert the stem 😉
