Corniche Watches?!!

I was scrolling through Instagram and noticed this brand and this specific watch caught my attention looks pretty awesome and I thinks it has a Seiko movement but this particular one is as you can see it’s sold out… they have some interesting watches and good looking too…

Let me know if you guys have any and any experience with the Brand?

Saw these on Instagram as well. Thought it looked pretty good but also very very similar to the Breitling B09 Pistachio. To me it gets close enough to copy vs inspired by that it makes me uncomfortable. Not judging anyone who gets one, but personally wouldn't for that reason.

I did like the La Grande by Corniche, thought that was a nice one. Thought it differentiates itself enough from others (at least from what I've seen).

Yes! Exactly! Hence the main reason it caught my eye, esp. this particular watch but the other designs are decent but I don’t know much about this micro brand just wonder if anybody has some experience with their pieces..

La Grande Corniche does look nice but at almost 700$ with a NH35, I think it's a bit overpriced... Especially when you can have, for example, a PRX Powermatic 80 for that price !

Saw the ads on Instagram too especially this green dial version was showcased often in the ads. Initially thought it was some other influencer brand advert and ignored but the green dial really caught my attention and checked their website. As bishop said, it's a watch that would really scratch the itch for a Breitling Pistachio chronograph.

Never found many reviews or videos about the watch brand so dropped interest. There are only a few reviews from Thailand about this watch brand that I found.

There is a recent one for the green dial in particular. From the video, the dial looks quite flat compared to the images on their website. Thought it would be like Breitling' matte green dial. Apart from the well know Seiko VK64 movement, hard to comment on the rest of the watch.

Yeah I wanted to read up more on but not much to read though…

I've been a bit cynical lately with these kind of "nanobrands". Only because I spend too much time scrolling through AliExpress and see so many decent designs and specs on no name brands.

To be fair I have to scroll through alot of noise, but if you want to find a real nice looking bicompax with a Seiko movement there are alot of good options on AE already. And of course brands like Pagani also make the straight homages, but still, not bad looking at all...

Example, second search result for "chronograph dress watch":

I picked up this Corniche Conifere Heritage Chronograph (Limited Edition of 200) - why? I'm ChronoGuy (of course)...

Image

It runs the ubiquitous Seiko VK64 mecaquartz and cost $485. A little pricey, but well made and very good looking. Definitely in the same ballpark quality-wise as "Furry Murry" (which are really overpriced and hyped) if you want that Patek look at a low budget price.

I also picked up this "Mysterious Code" from Aliexpress for $97 that also runs the Seiko VK64...

Image

Definitely in a different quality class than the Corniche (I would put it in the rubbish class), but something you can buy to scratch the itch for less than $100.

I feel I do the same thing as you but with divers on my end. I have microbrand, AE parts watches and proper Seiko divers. The thing that gets me with the AE stuff is it's always a lottery, but typically you do get what you pay for overall. Is it the best? Definitely not, but it is a great itch scratcher as you say.
