For me this is the best watch I've ever owned ranking ahead of some pretty heavy contenders.
Grand Seiko Mistflake
Grand Seiko White Birch Spring Drive
Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris Mariner Date
Glashutte Original Senator Chronograph
Glashutte Original Panomatic Reserve
Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage
Omega Seamaster 300m Professional
Omega Speedmaster Apollo 8
Omega Speedmaster Hesalite 1861
Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Ice Blue
IWC Spitfire Bronze
Zenith El Primero Classic Cars
For me it's the best balance between, quality comfort and finish amongst any of those other watches.

Holy smokes, that watch is an actual dream Come true. You pose a very difficult question my friend, I think if I had to choose at this moment, it would probably be my watch Crunch inspired builds at the moment, as I am deeply in a romantic phase with them.
I still continuously thinking about how I can improve on the aesthetics but if we’re talking in terms of a non-modified watch, then It probably would have to go. to my Tissot PRx automatic
My Seamaster 300 heritage is leagues above my others (older Omega's and mostly Seiko prospex) .
Serious question, with such a wonderful collection do you find it hard to pick what to wear?
For me, having one outstanding piece makes it hard to pick anything else, to the point it's pretty much killed collecting & has me thinking of selling my others and upgrading/consolidating into another really nice piece.
Any advice?
Thank you 👍🏻

The above watches mostly are no longer in my collection the reason I have had such a varied collection is I chop and change a lot.
One watch that sits leagues above does definitely kill off a a collection to a certain extent. However I have certain niches for my watches.
Sometimes I'm more comfortable wearing something thinner less valuable with a quick release function. That's my holiday watch. My current watch for that is the Christopher Ward Twelve Titanium.
I have a birth year Breitling Pluton I only wear in very rare occasions it's a cool retro digi.
I recently started wearing a 10 year old eco drive citizen because it's a great dress watch and fits that niche.
And lastly I have my Seiko Marinemaster which I wear for more casual events travelling to London etc.

Excellent reply, thank you 👍🏻
That watch has been on my radar for a few years..When I find the one (like your) same color dial I will pull the trigger.. Great looking piece..Until then to answer your question it would have to be my fifty fantoms

Great watch I had the titanium version briefly but the bezel play was unacceptable for the price.
Much will depend on the definition of best.
Best quality? Value? Movement? Look? Yadda yadda yadda......
Atta boy!

All round. For me this was the best all rounder.

I'd do it. I'm heading down the exact same path. My Aqua Terra is by far the best piece in my 12 watch collection and I'm thinking of getting down to 3-4 heavy hitters, max.
For me also a GO
Have I just seen a 4:30 date that looks good?👌
I'd probably only keep that one if I had to liquidate the collection.

Haha lovely watch but still rank the GO above it.

Love the GO, the blancpain is a grail of mine though, anything that is not the usual submariner is winner in my book
This is such a hard question. I have a few that I consider “best”. Like you I adore Glashütte Original. My PanoMaticInverse is pure class. I also adore my everose Daytona & Grand Seiko SLGA019 Lake Suwa.
That lake suwa!!!! ❤️

Me too. I bought a 5015 with black dial about 10 years ago. It was always the most beautiful diver to me. But good lord the GO pano date from the original poster is sooooo freaking nice.

I have an anthracite Noble. Monta does such a nice bracelet.

I find them to be in Tudor territory with the quality of their timepieces.

Agreed. I have the classic bb58 with the guilt and the bb gmt. Both bracelets are very nice but the 58 is far more comfy than the GMT and the Monta is damn near the 58. I do think the Monta clasp is a bit thinner. However the sliding micro adjust on the Monta is 🤌
casio waveceptor.
got me around the planet about 3 times - sold it, bought it back later. nailed it to the wall in the shed when the strap finally broke. recovered it when it out lived the shed. re-polished the crystal. gave it to one of my colleagues to sit on shelf in his shed.
great watch - g shocks are pretty good too.
For now…
X2 lol, cheers! 🍻
