Vintage Vostok

This vintage Vostok circa 1970s, has such a charm about it. The dial glistens in certain light and the blue color has a mood all its own. I’m not exactly sure how I acquired it, it’s currently non operational but I can’t help but love it. I’ve had it for years, it’s worked before and it will work again… for now though, it’s eye candy for the Crunch 🍻

Crisp!! I like that! 🤩

I just got a couple non working old vostoks from refugee relatives of the previous family that came here from Ukraine. Lucky for them as elderly people our Canadian medical system gives them treatment and medicine free of charge. Usual things like untreated diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Health care in Ukraine is strained past the limit and the elderly fall thru the cracks.

Looking sharp

Very pretty how the red star contrast with the blue. Very nice. Vostok watches are my guilty pleasure.

Have you smacked it against your palm a few times? That's usually the first thing to try. Smack, wind it a few times, then smack it again.

Looking on getting one soon! Any tips?
