Seiko SPB143J1 Strap Experimentation

I have been focusing on watches with 20mm lug widths and building up a collection of versatile 20mm straps. At the centre of this picture is my recent Seiko SPB143J1 on an Erika's Original Swick MN strap.

Still getting to know it. After 1 month I sent it back as it was gaining 50 seconds per day.

Did it get magnetized? Or was there an issue with the movement?

I love that SPB143 and all those straps look great on it, the one I like the most is that MN and the tropic one

Lovely strap colours, where are the top left tropic and bottom right leather from. Bottom right looks perfect colour for one of my watches. Thanks

Difficult to know. The repair paperwork just says serviced under warranty. And the timegraph is giving better readings

Tropic from TheStrapTailor, lighter blue leather from seventhcreation and Turquoise from WatchObsession

Thank you. used TheStrapTailor for some Natos, lovely quality. Will check out the others now whilst watching the rugby!

If you ever get that kind of deviation again - running fast - try a $10 demagnetizer off Amazon before sending it into service.

I had a watch running like a minute fast per day. Takes like 30 seconds to demagnetize the watch.
