Timex Deserves the Love

Hubby has a huge box of Timex in his watch hoard. It's fun to browse for things I might want him to prioritize for me to um... take. Sundays are for shopping, right?!

Agreed, I had an Ironman in the past and found myself getting back into them again. Love your vintage era collection!

Put those gold watches in a leather strap!

The one in the center keeps time. The second to right is overwound. I put that one in the "Helen's Treasures" and will get hubby to fix for me. The second from left stops and starts so it likely just needs a cleaning. I snuck that one into my box, too. I agree a beautiful leather strap and a good polish and they are amazing!!

They have such an important and interesting history and catalog. But their modern releases, unfortunately for the most part just don’t do it for me. I would tell them (not that they’re listening or would care what I say) to focus on the specs and QC more. Take inspiration from their past while still coming up with cool new designs. A few of their recent models are really close to a buy for me, if they had only used sapphire crystals or a slightly higher quality movement, or got the bezel to line up. It’s a shame when a watch is essentially 90% there, and it seems like it wouldn’t take that much effort to get it to 99%, but the company is just unwilling to do it.
