Automatics are inherently flawed compared to their Quartz counterparts in terms of accuracy. If we settle for one, it HAS to look great to offset the practicality of just settling for a Casio F91W, or God forbid, an Apple Watch.
And I agree, this design speaks to me. It says a lot that this is the only other watch I've had that actually got to survive my Grand Seiko. First time in a while where I'm wearing a watch that didn't get me wishing I should've worn my GS instead.
Had to do a bit of editing in Lightroom to get it to show green prominently since phone denoising and AI corrections was manipulating the color of the lume towards the cooler side. It shines better in real life.
It feels great! I can see why the Fleuss design is their go-to when it comes to collaborations and limited edition designs because despite the 43mm size, it looks just right on my 6.75 in wrist. It's thicker than my Grand Seiko but somehow it wears smaller than my GS, so it's safe to say you can put your worries at ease with this one.
Yea, it's mainly because shill bidders were given free reign to dictate what it's arbitrary scalping price should've been, and they started it at $3k-4k through manipulated biddings on eBay.
An experience horologer can recognize the ridiculousness of this due to the fact that it's powered by a mere NH38, but normal people don't know that. It doesn't help when Spinnaker decided to maintain Black as a Limited Edition by making Blue a pre-order option.
I got a Spring Drive GMT and whenever I wear a different watch, after a couple of hours, I end up wishing I wore my GS instead.
If it wasn't for the 50 Phantoms appealing to me aesthetically on a personal level, I don't see the need to get more watches since in terms of what I'm into(GMT, quartz accuracy on an automatic), my GS has me covered.
You got into Zelos at the right time, since Elshan has been doing 300 units per batch now. A lot of Zelos Timekeepers(I refuse to use the term, "Zelosian") have been whining about how there's been too much of them recently and I'm glad they're doing that, because now we get to separate who the real ones are over the speculators, since the only people who're whining about it are people who got one hoping they could scalp it for much higher.
