Been collecting since I was little. It started with pocket watches, I would ask my mum to buy them for me from flea markets whenever I would chance on one. I guess it's because I was fascinated with Doc Brown's pocket watch in one of the Back to the Future movies.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Some no-brand pocket watches. First branded one if my memory serves me right is a Casio CMD-10 remote control watch.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Broaden your horizons, don't stick to a single theme, movement or brand. Keep exploring.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Lately, microbrands have been getting my attention. Those aside though, Glashutte, Zenith and Omega have been catching my eye as well.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
My grails would be:
1. Chrono: Zenith Chronomaster Revival
2. Diver: Glashutte SeaQ/Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
3. Everyday: Rolex Milgauss
I like left-field watches. I don't like being among the crowd of commonly-found/hype pieces. I do have a few though. The Milgauss is on the list just because I don't really have an everyday watch that I truly want to replace my current one with. That said, the Millie is probably the "most left-field" Rolex I can think of.
