Depends on what you want to achieve. I’m using a iPhone 14 Pro Max and flip on the Portrait Mode to get the bokeh effect if I want to focus on something.
Just make sure that the focus is right, lights coming from behind the phone not from the direction of the watch, and the flash function can really make the details pop. Afterwards you can doctor the pics using the effects of your phones image modding function or you can download apps that do the same but better.
I have a 7 year old samsung and still manage to do pretty ok pictures using these tips.
It’s all about lighting I think. Make sure there are no reflections of things you don’t want, sometime it requires to move away and zoom in. A lot of times you don’t even have to edit but play around with saturation black points and so on after you took a photo.
I took this with my iPhone 13 Pro at a parking lot in my car. It was dark outside with one street light just giving this one spot a good illumination. Unedited
That photo's not bad, assuming you took it with a camera phone.
The only real suggestion I would make is to use a proper camera. It doesn't need to be an SLR or something expensive, but just something meant specifically to take photos, where you can pose the watch under good light and click away at leisure.

What phone do you have? All you really need is to clean your lens and play with your saturation.
You can buy a selfie stick not only is perfect for Zoom meetings but you can use it to light up a low light scene.
If you want something with more even lighting:
How pics look:
Regular pic vs adding a little bit of saturation:
Outdoors:
Honestly just play with your pictures. Practice makes you better.

Edit: added “unedited” 😂
Take watch off your wrist.
Wipe watch down.
Sit watch near a window with daylight.
Wipe the lens off on your smartphone.
Snap a couple shots at different angles.
Pick the best one.
Rinse & repeat.
For best results take it of wrist, make sure it has decent light and ideally use voice to activate shot (keeps phone steadier)
Thanks I wanted to know too 😂😂😂
