Any Suggestions?

Hello!

So I was recently engaged and I was thinking about what I should get my best man and two groomsmen, and I really can't come up with anything better to get them than a nice automatic watch! Unfortunately they are not interested in automatic watches like I am but I am hoping that when I present them with one, that I can explain to them why they have much more meaning to them instead of you average smartwatch. So as you read from the title, I'm looking for suggestions! Only caveat is that it has to be under $400 since that is all I can afford. I have this Tissot in mind but I am open to suggestions!

What an excellent and generous idea. There are so many to chose, especially from named brands, but for me and bangs per bucks I like this....

Islander Brookville Hi-Beat Automatic Dress Watch with Blue Dial, AR Sapphire Crystal #ISL-38

Hard to go wrong with a Khaki Field. $362 brand new with discount code. It is the gateway watch for many of us.

Bruh 400 you can get a bunch of watches.

Glycine has some good options:

So... I've done this.

Got married almost 12 years ago, and my budget was significantly smaller than yours. (about $100 Canadian)

My wife had chosen her wedding colour scheme and I picked watches which matched. It added a bit of additional meaning to the gift.

I like the idea of some matching Seiko 5s... The size suits almost anyone because they're not too big, they have a see-through case-back which means they can see the movement. I think that adds to the gift particularly if they're not 'watch people'.

Also, they're under your budget at full price and they're on sale all the time.

Swiss made Steinhart vintage military...from their website it sits right at $402...just depends on the euros to dollar. Classic vintage design...one of my favs that I own....good luck with your search!

Just as an alternative last time I was a groomsman we all got engraved manual pocket watches. It’s a fun different conversation piece that’s easy to display and has since got the best man into mechanical watches.

It was engraved with thank you from the couple and the date of the wedding on the back and you’ll probably be able to get it engraved for under 200.

I think this is an excellent suggestion. Are they still wearing the watches?

Hamilton khaki auto. Seiko 5 diver. Victorinox INOX. Tissot PRX. Any San Martin or Pagani Design.

Tbh, if they aren’t into watches yet, I’d get them each an Invicta Pro Diver automatic ($50-100USD). Whatever color scheme you like. They look great, have a nice see-thru caseback, solid specs, and you won’t have wasted your money if they never actually end up wearing them.

Or just get some cool pocket knives. That’s what I’d want as a groomsman.

Yup!

Mine actually developed a problem and I haven't yet bothered to fix it (the pushers for the chrono don't work and the chrono hands are not lined up at 12, which bothers my sensibilities). It still tells the time, but I've been on the fence about getting it fixed to fully-operational. I know it'll cost a lot to fix - probably more than it's worth at this point, so I have to weigh the sentimental value.

Be different… get them a Vostok.

Color choices are plenty and it’s always an interesting piece.

Take a look at Jack Mason watches....the Canton Day Date is a beautiful piece and lists at $399 with several color options.
