Seiko Presage or vintage GS?

Which one is the better bang for the buck? Not planning on getting one, just interested in in the Cruncher’s opinions!

I like the original Seiko "grammar of design" aesthetic from the 60s and 70s, so I would gravitate toward a vintage KS or GS over a modern Presage model.

However, vintage watch movements can be a real can of worms so it is highly recommended to buy from a trusted source who serviced the watch before purchase, which can add quite a lot to the price for that peace of mind.

A presage will be cheaper but a good original condition GS or KS will likely hold its price or go up in value in future

Highly dependent on the authenticity and condition of the dial, case and movement.

Vintage GS are lovely, but as with all vintage items, to avoid being ripped off you either need to really know your stuff or 100% trust the seller.

Really comes down to the money and which one you like the look of better. Obviously GS is a higher teir of effort in producing the Watch but being you said vintge you have to considered condition and buying the seller

Picked up a Presage a bit back and love it. Also, I am generally against anything vintage unless I know a LOT about the specific watch because I have concerns regarding long term serviceability.

If you for 'bang for buck', a new watch is always better than a vintage watch, no matter what model.
