NWA & Strap options for the Bulova Accutron Spaceview

Last week, I went to a vintage watch fair in Zurich, and bought this humming little fella there :)

I absolut love the Spaceview! The vintag sci-fi-look is super cool and it fits my small wrist well, but I habe one problem:

I don‘t really like the 18mm Hirsch strap it came with…

Do you have any options and recommendations for a cool, quirky strap?

And how do you, fellow crunchies, like my new piece? Any experience with the Spaceview? Tell me about it in the comments :)

At 18mm you can get anything, I reckon that watch is a steal monster. Maybe look at some exotic animal skin straps like a stingray leather

I tried mine on a bund (non-marching hardware) and now I am waiting for one to arrive that is darker brown and with matching hardware. It helps make it wear a little bigger, which I wanted.

Mine is very accurate.

And while I was expecting the hum - it sounds pretty much like a mosquito buzzing in my ear, which is not my favourite noise and means it never near where I sleep!

It does wear quite tall so I am expecting lots of scratches.

What year is yours from?

I have a M7, so it should be from 1967 if I recall correctly.

Nice choice with that bund strap btw! 👌

That’s correct - mine’s an M6 from 1966. Hopefully you’ll be as impressed by the accuracy as I am - it’s nearly 60 yo.

I have ordered the bund from Vario ( https://vario.sg/a/search?q=Bund ) so it’s slowly making its way here. I went for the two piece as I really didn’t want to add any extra height to it.

They do eat batteries though so be prepared for that - somewhere between one and two years!

Very nice. I think I'd like to have one, but buying vintage gives me pause. I don't know what's a decent price, what to look for, particularly in an online listing, etc. I have a bit to learn. If anyone has any advice, let me know.
