Shall we make sweet... watch together?
As I was laying in bed this morning looking at mod parts (it was either that or risk going blind) I had a thought. Shall we build a watch together? Mark at Long Island Watch did something similar recently and it turned out quite well.
I thought that each week I could present a poll giving four options to choose a material, case, dial, hands, etc. Would more than likely be an NH movement.
As the weeks go by we could create something rather marvelous or bloody awful together. Either way... it would be ours.
Once we've created our perfect horological Smorgasbord or, more likely, Frankenstein's monster I could auction it off and donate the proceeds to a charity of our choice. Would use a poll to choose that too.
So... whaddya reckon..?

That will be a fun build to watch develop.
So... we move on to... what material? Then it'll be what case style. There may be a groups and a final (world cup style) as there are quite a few options when it comes to cases. The same applies for dials, hands, etc.
Let the "fun" begin
Go on then... I look at rolex, pp, ap et al, and often ask myself "how hard can this be?". Guess now I get to find out.
One quick thing tho who owns design copyright? Assuming of course it turns out to be a smash hit? 🤔 need to sort out the legal stuff first.
