I have about twenty watches that are stored unceremoniously in various drawers and boxes. I wanted a nice storage system for some of my favorites.
I found a vendor on Etsy (based in Turkey) who makes these watch boxes from walnut and maple. I thought it would look nice with our bedroom furniture that has walnut tops. But it cost more than any of my watches! I had a birthday coming up and dropped a not so subtle hint so now I have one.
It’s big but very pretty and does the job. I’m a happy camper. I went with glass top since I have several Eco-drive watches that are powered by sunlight. There is also a version with a solid top and no drawer.
I retired a few years ago. Most of my watches were accumulated during the 80’s and 90’s while I was still working. Since I’ve been here I’ve learned I specialize in “affordable” watches. I also enjoy...
I like your collection. Especially the three watches in the middle: Casio, Citizen and Pulsar.
That looks very nice

That Casio was a $10 Wal-Mart special!

Hi Gary, very nice looking watch box! I am looking for one made out of walnut too. Any chance you can reveal who the vendor on Etsy is?
