I'm joining you from Tyrol, Austria, where I have spent more than half of my life. My first watch when I was a kid in Germany was a handwound Aristo. Later in Spain I had some Quartz moon phase watch from a brand lost to time, worn on a velcro strap like all the surfer kids around me wore their Casios and Swatches back then. About 20 years ago I first got into watch collecting, my most prized possession being a Preisig (no pun intended) with a Swiss German day date function like the one in my profile pic. I was delighted to recently rediscover one of these rare items (basically a microbrand watch from the time before microbrands became a thing), which now shares wrist time with a titanium quartz field watch and a Seestern S434 diver (nicknamed Seekuh or manatee in German and filling the manatee-sized gap a GO SeaQ would leave in my budget). I'm looking forward to expand my collection by hopefully one watch per year, starting to get (a) Wise (probably an AD773) after half a century on this planet.
