Seiko Mickey Mouse dial

I found this automatic Seiko (ref. 7009-876A) on Vinted for 75eu. Now the thing I was wondering is how original this watch really is? Is it just a modded dial or was there ever a model with a Mickey Mouse dial? I’ve looked it up online and I can only seem to find these on second hand sites but no archive images or something in that direction. Anyone some more info on this?

I really don’t care if this is fake or not, this watch is just such a fun addition to my collection especially with the summer coming up I’ll be rocking this with some crazy colourful fits. I just would love to know the story behind it.

Do you have a picture? Seiko definitely made Mickey watches, but it also seems like there are a lot of Bombay special 7009s with fake Mickey dials.

The Mickey Mouse seikos I’ve seen from the 90’s had the hour and minute hands as Mikey mouse arms. Only recently have I seen these Mickey Mouse watches where the hour/minute hands are not mickey’s arms…..which makes me suspect along the lines of Bombay specials

100% fake. Sorry.

BUT! It might have Seiko parts in it - probably just a frankenwatch. Enjoy it for what it is!

He shared this image of the movement which looks like a vintage seiko movement but not 100% sure.

The rotor is not original IMO but the rest of the movement seems authentic from what I can see in this pic.

Right - like I said it's probably a combination of different watch parts - but the dial is bogus.

This is probably a customized/Franken watch.
