Oppemheimer and Hamilton
We went to see Oppenheimer today so ofcourse I wore the Hamilton to the movies. I was dissapointed to see that Hamilton wasn’t as much represented as their instagram page advertised. Again they made some beautiful watch(-props) tho of which I hope they one day will be available for us simple folks. A great movie nevertheless that everyone has to see because of it’s great historic value.

Nice watch! I agree Oppenheimer is a phenomenal movie and comes at a perfect time in our history, to revisit the dialogue around these types of weapons when the news makes it feel like we are drawing closer some future inevitable war. Cillian Murphy is incredible and has to be a shoe in for at the very least an Oscar nomination. I also thought Downey was fantastic considering I think he has to work extra hard to make us forget he was Iron Man for basically a decade. Definitely a must-see... and even more so if you can get to an IMAX.
I wonder if any pics exist out there of the actual Oppenheimer wearing a Hamilton, would be cool to see
I love my Hammy and I hope they don’t ever reach the point of oversaturation in media, which then invites the inevitable backlash.
If I'm not mistaken they didn't create watch props for this movie like they did with the Murph or even for Tenet, but instead revisited the archives of Hamilton and simply used vintage watches, depending on the year portrayed on screen... Couldn’t have said it better myself! I thought it was amazing that at the start of the it was almost impossible to realise that it was Downey playing this role and it was one probably the best acting I’ve seen him do. Everyone needs to see it altho the hype build up to the movie was overrated, it still is one off the best movies in a while. Cheers to you!
