SOTC - END OF 2023

Hey Crunchers,

This is my collection of watches after a year and a few months of collecting. I'm at that point in my collecting journey where I want to start added watches that brings something new to the overall collection and removing pieces that don't anything.

I tend to lean towards heritage pieces, but not vintage. I tend to lean towards remakes, re-issues or vintage inspired watches. I want my collection to be a reasonable number and I want all my pieces to be on the warmer side. I am from the Virgin Islands and we wear alot of yellow gold, so I like my pieces to have gold/gilt accents. Though it limits what I add to the collection, I think it also helps with creating unity and cohesion.

Collection:

  1. Orient Kamasu - Dressy Diver

  2. Zelos V3 Ti - Tool Diver

  3. Seiko Alpinist - GADA

  4. Longines Zulutime - GMT

  5. Smith Trans-Global - Sporty Dress

  6. Seagull1963 - Chrono

  7. Bulova Chronograph A - Chrono/Diver

  8. Vostok Komandirskie - Field

  9. Tissot Visodate - Dress

  10. Junghans Max Bill - Dress

I do have other watches that I longer consider part of the collection and is currently trying to move CONUS.

  1. Glycine Airman Quartz

  2. Vostok Komandirskie (not pictured)

  3. Laco Augsburg 42 polar LE

Moving forward I am thinking about adding:

  1. Oris Pointer Date Red dial - Bronze

  2. Glycine Airman "Noon"

  3. Hamilton Jazzmaster Day/Date

And in the long term, as of right now, my grail is either:

  1. Cartier de Santos - S/G Medium

  2. Tudor Black Bay - Red Bezel

  3. Grand Seiko

Please let me know what you guys think. Advice, tips or suggestions is always welcomed.

Thanks

Nice color selection

I don't think you need much advice from me. You've got a solid collection of watches that you want and you know what you want next. I think you're doing very well all by yourself. However a Oris pointer date and Cartier would look really nice in your box.

Love your collection!

You had my applause with the Surfboard. You won my envy with the Zulu Time.

As for a future Tudor BB, the prices are dropping. No hurry

·

That’s a really nice collection and I like where you’re going with it. I’m not going to suggest anything as I think you’ve got it. 👍

That Smiths Trans-Global has been on my short list for a minute. The dial layout does something for me. But I'm hesitant because of all the horror stories about the difficulty buying Smiths and the sub par CS.

Love the variety! Different colors, different styles. Nice set!

Honestly, I was able to get one off my first try. Never had any issues where I needed to use their customer service, but all in all, it's a lovely looking watch. It's my most complemented piece.

We all need a little validation. 😂

Well done, Great collection!

Nice picks 👍🏻

Great collection there! The Hamilton and/or the Oris would both add some unique and classy features to what you've already got. The grails are all wonderful. 👍

I Tend to agree, it's gives the watch a sense of withstanding the test of time. Like this design was so good, others copied or re-issued it. And chances are it'll be reissued again. So I think it's a great way to go
