Out of all the "Essential Watch Enthusiast Tool Kit" blogs and YouTube videos I've seen the last two years how is it that I'm just discovering this? Live and Learn!

I bought a cheap plastic vernier for 8 bucks at Canadian tire 🤷🏻‍♂️

Meh.

I have a simple ruler that measures millimeters and I just eyeball it and have yet to have a problem.

Easy Peasy. That thing might be a tool but not , in any way, essential.

Kudos to you for not suffering from "any excuse to buy a tool" syndrome. You should see me at the hardware store.

There is always an excuse to buy a new tool…how would we fill the toolbox otherwise 😂

Finally someone who gets me! As if I'd never heard of a ruler before...

For most people that thing is just pointless, even most enthusiasts.

I'd bet it's target demo is watchmakers, which might explain why you weren't aware until now

I can only speak for myself but memorizing the lug widths on all my watches and straps is probably not gonna happen. Everybody's situation is different

Yeah I'd definitely say you do not fall into the "most enthusiasts" group. Lol

I was not judging, just merely stating that the tool was a niche thing.

Kind of cool, great business card. One you wouldn't throw away. Strap companies should throw these in with the other random items they send out.
