Last night's monthly OC Chrono Group gathering was their best post-Covid meet up so far. They're steadily working there numbers back towards the hundreds. I much prefer face to face gatherings over social media shenanigans and last night didn't disappoint.
Watches, adult beverages, Vietnamese food and more watches in the Brodard Chateau VIP room kept the venue packed with an overflow crowd extending into the main restaurant.
The evening was kept lively with an intermittent raffle that included many great gifts such as a Bausele watch, books, cups and t-shirts. The Grand Prize however was actually a Seaweed Seamaster!
Lucky watch winners and the folks that made it happen. The winner of the Seamaster had told me last year that he would never buy another Omega after getting jerked around when he purchased a Snoopy. How cool that he got to keep his word and still ends up with another Omega!
Of course it's all about the watches and the people who collect them. A highlight of the evening was finally meeting @TheWatchStylist. We've been to many of the same events so it was great to finally shake hands and talk watches. My wife was particularly interested in his Olympic trials adventures.
Would love to see WatchCrunch elevate to this level of engagement. A big thumbs up to those Crunchers hosting events and keeping the discourse on point. Hope to meet more of you in the future. Until then...

Looks and sounds like an awesome event. How does one get involved with this group? I’m in OC and would love to have been there.
Brodards is a great restaurant with delicious food (spring rolls, yum). Wish we had a Brodards in NorCal which would draw people out. There is something happening soon up here that could match this though.
I don’t think anything can top a Seamaster being raffled or meeting @TheWatchStylist though😂
