A small peek at our gathering tonight of Porsche, German car enthusiasts and watch geeks at the Auto Kennel in Orange County, California.
My wife picked me up from work in her Porsche Cayman and drove me to the event to arrive just minutes before the taco truck. Yum!
Great food, booze, watches and conversation marked the evening and pretty soon the place was packed. We contributed a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue California edition which is fast becoming my liquid calling card. Tasssssty!
Our OC Chrono group meets once a month and though the location varies it will often be at a car centric location. There is often swag and a raffle with the the current one being for a Seaweed Seamaster.
As some of you may know I enjoy the people part of this hobby as much as anything else and I often travel along the West Coast to host and attend these watch events.
Keep me posted please on any West Coast events I may not be aware of and I hope to see you soon! Until then may your wrist be heavy with the watch of your dreams!

Sweet watches and cars! Perfect combination 👌
My best buddy here in YVR collects 911s and Audi - we both would’ve fit in nicely there 😉
I’m not a huge JW fan, but if Blue is your calling card you’re welcome at my place any time.

Being raised in Southern California pretty much turned me into a car and motorcycle nut though I'm finding watches to be a lot easier!
The 2003 F-350 at the top has 400k miles while Rebecca's 2003 Shinsen Miata only has 60K!
Her 2008 Porsche Cayman has less than 50K! Still hoping to bag a '64 Impala someday but only time will tell!

Cheers! Should I find myself in Baltimore I'll have to be a good guest then and bring some JW Platinum!
Looks like both of you have had a great time!
Porsche is my dream car.....one day! 😂
Furthermore, all the watches above are yours? I am so happy to see a Daniel Roth on WC. I have never seen one in the wild in my 16+ years of collecting, apart from new/pre-own stores.
I love that in the first pic people are standing around the 928 even though there's a 911 in the room. As it should be
Snoopy is watch that caught my eye

I know how you feel about Omega!😁 If I haven't done so already I'll have to share the owner's back story on this Snoopy the next time we meet up.

The watches and cars belong to various attendees. I only WISH they were all mine. One guy brought over a million dollars in A. Lange & Söhne watches and several others brought pieces that are truly unique.
I wore a Rolex Day Date and brought several Felca watches to display since many enthusiasts aren't familiar with that maker
My wife wore a vintage Bulova.

Right!? The nostalgia of the vintage vehicles was palpable. It has been awhile since I saw a set of "phone dial" wheels and memories of days gone by when those cars were a bargain are bittersweet.
Not a better combo! 😍
