[SOTC] January 25th 2023
Long time no see guys.Today i decided to showcase my boring collection with just a random picture rather than a fancy one.
The box i got from LIDL for 13$,its brand is AURIOL made of faux leather and has a window at the top as well as a string on the side, you're also able to lock it with the two provided keys. For 13$ i am not complaining.
Now a lil bit about the watches.
First up is Seiko SQ100 7N1181
This is a watch that i inerhited from my grandfather,it is a quartz seiko from the 90's it has 100m of water resistance and looks amazing in this fully silver version. Its an amazing watch that works in any situation possible,with any outfit.
Next is the G-Shock GMA-S140M-1A
This is the watch i got for myself for my 18th birthday.I wanted to get something as different from my seiko as possible for my 2nd watch,and as a kid ive always dreamt of owning one the most its was the most logical answer. When i went out to get my g shock this one stood out as it was smaller than the other ones,and im in love with the gold and black combination so i got it,came home looked it up just to realize it was a women's version 🤦🏻♂️.Well at least i don't think ill be meeting any guy with the same watch now 😂
Next is,sadly the Huawei Watch GT.
This watch is also inerhited from a family member. While i never liked smartwatches this is my favourite watch now due to the sentimental value.After owning it for some time i can understand the appeal,but still wouldn't buy a smartwatch over an actual decent watch for the same price.
Next is Swatch RECOGNIZE ME SUOZ136
I got this watch as a gift. Its definitely the most fun watch in my collection.I love weaing it due to it being super light and fun.I think in total this watch gets the most time on my wrist.
Vintage DOXA
This Doxa i inerhited from my great grandfather i decided to incluex it here altho its currently in a bad condition and isn't working.I am planning to find someone to fix it and replace the strap.

So many personal and family memories in one box! After it is fixed and on the right strap the Doxa will make a fine special occasion watch. 👍

You have a nice collection going. A lot of good memories for you in that box. I don't see anything wrong with you wearing that G-Shock. It doesn't look like a woman's to me. Usually a woman's is the BabyG. The Seiko is a classic. It's a good every day wearer. You can't go wrong with a Swatch. Swatch watches is what I first started collecting back in the 80's. I never realized that they would lead me to where I am now. That Doxa is a classic. It is well worth the money to have it fixed. I would have it fixed then put on a brown ostrich skin strap. It can be a real valuable beauty.
If you put a diver in that last spot you've ticked all my boxes for a solid collection.

Swatches are definetly my thing after wearing this one. It gets most wear time from me.
About the doxa it is worth to me no matter the cost., although i dont think i will be choosing a brown strap :) ill have to see some and try some in person. I am considering a full restoration as well but would need to find someone really trustworthy to do it.

Diver is definetly a consideration. But hey i never said there's only gonna be six 👀
