How often do you check to see how fast/slow your watch is running?

I use Time.gov when setting time or checking accuracy. Feel free to comment on other ways you check, if it annoys you more/less/not at all when it's running slow or fast, etc.

Every time I put a watch on I set the time, which can be a few times a day.

I’ll check day to day. I always set my watches to the exact second. When I work I want my watch set perfectly, though it isn’t really that important to any outcome.

·

I picked once a month, but it's probably more like once a quarter.

I measure my watches with a tool that measures time deviation, amplitude, etc, as more a way to check the health of the movement.

Day-to-day I don't care that much. As long as I'm within a few minutes of the current time I'm okay. When I need accuracy and precision (for work) I wear a high-accuracy quartz watch.

I wear mechanical watches because the don't have the accurate time - we're here for so little time as it is - don't spend it counting seconds.

I use a Mac for work, so I don’t actually wear a watch most weekdays as it fucks clasps up. So most of the time if I’m putting a watch on it’s from dead. Somehow I will still set it an hour from the actual time lol

·

I am still in the process of checking the accuracy every time I put on a watch unless it’s been a bit since I have worn it in that case I set it to the second

·

I have a quick look at one of my quartz watches and set it to about the same. I don't usually bother to change the date. 🤷

·

Whenever I feel like it. Probably every other week or so. Most of my watches (quartz) have a deviation under 7 sec a month.

·

When you have a Casio Oceanus solar multiband it becomes very difficult not to check all your watches. Then it takes a few more minutes to try set them all to the right time 😂😂

·

I am usually wearing a different watch every day, so I usually have to set and wind the watch when I put it on. I think I have had to reset some of my quartz watches if it's been a long time between wears. Though on that subject, I have a cheap Timex Weekender that is incredibly accurate. I'll go months without wearing it and it will still be keeping the correct time.

·

If I hear “you’re late to the meeting” then I know my watch accuracy is off.

I check every 2 to 3 days

·

Approximately every time I have to change the date, so roughly every two months give or take

·

I check the watch I’m going to wear when I put it on but only reset the time if it’s off more than a minute.

i have no idea exactly how often i check up afterwards, but i usually synchronize my watch in the morning to the correct time down to the second.
