This Seiko from 1969 is groovy

This is the first review on my YouTube channel of a vintage watch. This Seiko 5126-6010 from 1969. I think it’s groovy.

I just ordered the green Seiko Recraft that's similar to that one (SNKM97), except its dial is a whopping 43.5 (I hope it doesn't look too big.)

Thanks for the review of this vintage piece!

hey nightwatch, thanks for watching my video. Funny you mention that SNKM97 watch. That watch is the review I’m posting next week. Hope you like your watch.

Looks very cool, a Daini made sport diver. These weren't typically sold outside of Japan. I don't think 51 series movements were made for very long so this would be pretty rare watch! You did really well to pick that up for $23!!

Hi Warrior75. Thanks for the info. One other person said he thought it was a rare watch but now I’m beginning to think it really is rare. I had no idea. Guess I really got lucky. 👍👍

You're welcome. I've found some more info at the link below on the Amateur Watch Fettling website. This is a great source for vintage Seiko. He has restored the exact same reference of watch that you have!

I love that watch, it is a JDM model. you can tell that because of the 5 badge under the Seiko, the sports and the water resistance were not labeled on the international versions. Either way, you have a great find, and the JDMs have always been of better quality than the rest anyway.
