Look. I get the hate but, I have several Invictas and have had them for over a decade. They’re reliable, look nice, and while they’re mostly desk watches, they still look great. They got me into automatic watches back then.

Poor value though as far as specs. Most don't have sapphire crystal or ceramic bezels or solid end link braclets....Steeldive or San Martin present a better value proposition and quality hands down.

I think your comments are right on target. This is a great first automatic or a great looking beater watch.

Hey jstroff. There are a lot of options out there for affordable dive watches. You’re right, Some of which have better specs for the money. What I ended up liking about this watch was it’s very accessible both in terms of low costs as well as being available in places that new watch collectors will go, including Amazon and local stores. It’s not the greatest watch you can buy, but I still believe it’s a great entry into automatics or a solid beater watch. IMO.

My very first watch that started me collecting was an Invicta submariner homage with a Miyota automatic. That was 25 years ago...

I saw a guy wearing an Invicta when I was in a Office Max store a few weeks ago.
