Slightly eccentric, wicked sense of humour. Self confessed watch cheapskate, who tinkers with watches. Love motorbikes, to date, I've ridden about 250,000 miles, 113,000 of which are on my BMW 1150GS....

Impressive!
Not into modding or maintenance myself (way too clumsy and know my limitations) but my Mrs is just starting out . I'll show this to her when I get home.
Interesting stuff, nice one mate 💪🏼👍👍
The first set of photos are showing a new Aliexpress tool and an old battered Stella. The latter could do what the Ali express couldn't, despite being held together by glue/ wire.
Not used this, I may never get that advanced. But, what the hell , just look at it. 🙄😏😎😍
Wait, what's the lighter fluid for?!
A comprehensive set of tools. 😀
I can fix most superficial watch problems. But a few years ago I had to admit to myself I did not have the patience for a full movement strip-down. Especially if I can just buy a replacement.
Kudos to those like you who can! 💪
Wait, what's the lighter fluid for?!
Cleaning. Other pot has Isopropanol in it, to remove any lighter fuel residue
What do you use for magnification?

Do you use the microscope for inspection only or can you work with it. I'm asking because I'm looking into getting a microscope and I've heard that it is harder to work under a digital scope than a stereo scope like AmScope because of the depth perception. But stereo scope it significantly more money. What is your opinion?

Not used a stereoscope. Works for me. The head can be tilted slightly to avoid hand obscuring vision while working. Not really thought about it. But, I do use it all the time when working on movements.

As for depth perception, I go in slow. This microscope has a remote control, 3x digital magnification. Takes videos and stills.

Just to give you an idea of how easy it is to work under
