The one that started it all
Now I’ve had a couple of g shocks and a casio before this, but this Seiko 5 SRPD51 is what really got me into the whole world of watch collecting and everything about watches. So this will forever be special to me. Changed the bracelet to a nato strap.

Can't go wrong with a Seiko diver on a NATO, been my go-to for twenty years at least 👍🏻
Seiko got a huge amount of criticism online after killing the SKX and releasing the Seiko 5 “5KX” line thereafter at higher prices. I saw vitriol-filled reviews on release of the 5KX at the time of starting my watch journey with an SRPD53, but getting a real SKX was out of the question due to scalping.
The years went by, and it’s being constantly proven that Seiko had the last laugh there, as the 5KX is becoming the gateway to mechanical watchmaking and the Seiko world for so many of us.

My first automatic as well. Amazing watch, looks great in all varieties of straps as well!
