Screw down crown - how tight?

I hope there hasn't been a poll on this before. I'm curious to know how tight you screw in the crown on your watch. Do you tighten it as hard as you can to withstand a quick dive to the Mariana Trench, or do you keep it loose to protect the crown tube and gaskets on your precious watch?

"tighten until you strip the threads then back it off half a turn" 😂😂

Usually, desperately trying to align the crown in at least an aesthetic manner, if not the perfection it came out the box with.

Just until it stops. It should turn smoothly until it doesn't turn, so you don't keep trying. That's all you need to keep it water tight without damaging the watch or the gaskets

Snug and quick check before anything involving water.

So. You're saying I need to stop using the torque wrench before I go in the water? 🤔
