Longines Record

Hi

This is my first post.  Does anyone have any experience of the Longines Record Collection?  They all have a COSC movement.  Was also thinking of this or the Longines Conquest blue dial 39mm.  The turn off for me of the Record is the 30m water resistance, but attracted by the Chronometer movement and can get it below the retail price of €2,000.  Thanks

Quick question:  Do you ever plan to go swimming with the watch?  I have an Omega diver with  300M water resistance, and I think the wettest it's ever gotten is the one time I spilled a cocktail on my wrist, when I stumbled on my way between my kitchen and garden.

I like to pretend that I'm going to be James Bond, trapped in a sinking ship, needing to survive the icy black depths, in order to exact revenge on Ash for killing Felix Lieter...

... but, in reality, this is about how rugged my life gets...

None of my watches need even 30M water resistance, if I'm being honest.

Thanks for your quick reply.  I have about 3 watches already with 200m rating so wouldn't plan on swimming with it.  Most of my watches are field/sports watches and don't have any pricey dressy pieces but I rarely dress up.

It's easier to dress down a watch than you think! I'd say go try it on in your usual attire and see how you feel about the watch.

Ha! I got a bunch of super dressy and sparkly watches. Meanwhile, this is about as dressed up as I get in life!

I don’t think the COSC part is too important.  The Record Collection is a dress watch.  I think that vs everyday should be the greater consideration.

Thanks for that.

I have no experience with this model, but I don't think you should be bothered by the 30m WR, especially because you already have other watches with 200m WR or more
