The commemorative tin box it came in was scratched. I’ve never bought a Seiko 5, though I wanted one, almost got the recent GMT. I know now what people say about their bracelets being “janky”. Stamped clasp, rattely af, and tin/ hollow bracelet. No worries was never gonna wear it on the bracelet.
Been about 12 hours and I like it. 😊 Got some compliments at work this morning and I never do with any of my watches. I guess it’s the pink dial. I’m in the midst of a downsizing but I think it will join the Master 2 and the SPB 187, the two watches I’ve been rotating for the last 3 weeks or so.
I’m 308 out 888 for the pink dial. The purple and yellow are still out there if any of you are so inclined.
Epilogue: So it’s at the end of the day. I got 7 compliments at work. Not that I care, I really do wear what I like with no motivation to get the approval of others, but I mention it because that’s 7 more compliments than my entire collection has garnered, ever. I guess my collection is “boring”. 😊

Aww. Hope u keep at least the white one. I think if you wait a bit you might be able to sell for profit. Maybe, I do see some of the previous releases selling at or slightly below MSRP.
Love the whole series and I'm holding out for the black dial with nautical flags though I think the other colors crush it as well. Interesting that two local watch shops that are ADs for several brands including Seiko didn't ask for a Rowing Blazers allocation from their sales rep for any that have already been released because they were unaware of both the collab and it's popularity. After I gave them both a heads up the allocations they requested sold out quickly. It's a little weird when sometimes the enthusiast has a better handle on what is hot than the business owner. IMO these are destined to at least hold their value though more importantly they look great.

Yeah the GMT is nice, plus I hear the jubilee bracelet is pretty good unlike the one that came with this.

I too have a couple pink shirts, presents from my girls, haven’t seen the light of day. I’ve had them on, but they never get past the door, always change at the last minute. A small pink watch, I can do. 😂

Nice! Yeah that pink stayed in my cart for a little bit then removed it and replaced it a couple times before I proceeded to check out. I really was trying to downsize and tried to resist buying any watch. But I think I would have regretted not getting it. But no pressure. 😊

I showed my girls the release and they split between the pink and purple. It was the first time they were genuinely interested in any watch that wasn’t an Apple Watch. Millennial and Gen Z. Wife was intrigued as well, she’s not much into my hobby though I’ve gotten her some nice watches over the years.
