Best daily watch in 36mm - Idea Collection

Hello everybody,

As many others, I really like the Explorer I in 36mm. I like the Tudor Black Bay 36 just as much, but here is the catch: They are both too expensive for me😊

So my idea was to aks you guys for the best automatic daily watch with a decent bracelet for under 1000 bucks. Any recommendations are welcome!

I don’t have one, but I’ve seen plenty of folks rave here and elsewhere about their Smiths Everest PRS-25. Out of stock now, but I think they get restocked and you have to act fast when they do.

You open to homages?

You open to homages?

Mh I´m not so keen on them. I had a Speedmaster Homage, and gave it away after a couple weeks because I wasn´t connecting to it at all... So I´d say no homages

….Under 1000USD? On a bracelet?

Maybe not be exactly under $1k, but yeah surely something to consider.

Khaki King II is one tough and close competitor in my book but its a bit larger, just a bit 😘

There’s also rumours of the Tissot PRX coming out in a 35mm version

Ooo... That's exciting!

I bought my dad a Datejust 36 for his birthday years ago and he's worn it every single day ever since. I wouldn't consider it a daily wear myself (it's two-tone) but I dunno it seems to work for him! I'd say, any watch you love can be a daily wear.

+1 for the Lorier Falcon II. It’s a lovely watch.

·

Also Vero did some nice 36mm but I think they are all sold out.

·

This is too broad a question.

So if it’s maybe Rolex/Tudor-esque, maybe an Islander Hi-Beat Dress. They are currently $349 on sale and running out of stock. I quite like the Cotton Candy dial, and the Robin Egg Blue has sold out.

The Smith's PRS-25 is hard to beat for the money. You'd have plenty of change for something else or new straps.

The Lorier Falcon II is a nice watch. I sold mine though. Bracelet was not nice or comfortable for that matter. It also had the noisiest rotor of any watch I own.

I think you could get a decent Oris in your budget as well.Â
