Celebrating 5 years at my job and have passed a lot of great milestones with this career and would like to celebrate with a dress watch (to accompany my divers/chronos). I've had my eye on the Longines Heritage Flagship for years but hard to decide between the white or black dial.
What do you think? WHITE or BLACK?
I'd avoid the black hole. It looks so vacant and depressing, plus black dials tend to look cheaper and less classy. On a purely practical note, I'm betting the hands turn virtually invisible in certain lighting conditions with the black dial.

That's a good point. I have noticed in some pictures/videos the hands disappear from the black dial depending on the lighting angle.
I have the Heritage Conquest in black with copper coloured hands and markers which is similar aesthetically to the black Flagship but available in 35mm with an acrylic crystal which I prefer for being more faithful to the original from the 50s and having less empty space on the dial. I also tried the Flagship - lovely watch but it was too big for me.
I've found legibility good because the hands are quite broad and have two facets so one usually catches the light. The lume is also surprisingly good on the Conquest.
I would go with the lighter color also since it looks more clean. Black dials for field watches and divers. Chances are that your diver has a black dial ?

Good point. Yep, I have a green field watch, 2 black divers, and 1 black chrono.

The black and gold really work together

First, congrats on hitting 5 yrs! I’m more partial to the polar dial … happy hunting 🤙❤️🤙
The Flagship is a great choise. I would go for the white dial. Imo it’s more versatile.
