NWA used pickup Oris Divers 65

For the past hour I’ve been thoroughly enjoying ogling my new Oris. These have been favorites of mine for a bit now and I’ve stalked them in used sales sites fairly patiently after I turned one down a year ago for a great price and immediately regretted it. I got a very reasonable price on this and 4 days later it’s on my wrist.

I had to add some links to the bracelet and a pin and collar system sucks to work with but it’s not too hard and now that it’s all fitted for me I am quite impressed. Considering the warranty card shows it was sold in 2016 it’s in better shape than I would’ve guessed. Nearly perfect to be honest, it’s been treated better than I intend on treating it.

I’m a sucker for a 3,6,9,12 and this might be the most unique way I’ve seen that portrayed, the dome of the crystal gently warping those numerals looks great, and the very black dial and bezel give it a bit of reserved contrast to those strange stenciled numbers. The case is much nicer in person than I remember from handling these in the past too. It’s thinner than I remember and the thin and very tapered bracelet look great. The added rivets on the bracelet look and feel fine and the clasp has 5 holes for a standard tooled micro adjustment. It was also send with a 2 piece nylon strap and a rubber strap, both OEM Oris branded too.

I understand the anxieties we can feel buying used online but I’ve been very fortunate over a few years of these purchases and this is the most I’ve spent on a used watch and, so far at least, I couldn’t be happier. Stay tuned for a multi-strap photo shoot in the near future.

I love my Heritage D65.

I always say it wears like a dress watch (not that I own a dress watch...) and acts like a diver.

And I never get tired of looking at it.
