Omega Speedmaster ID?

Hi guys, does anyone know which version this is? I can only find the version with a date on it. Would it also be possible that this is fake? If so, what are the tells? Thanks in advance!

I've never seen a Broad Arrow without a date, but Omega has so many variations that I wouldn't be surprised if there was a no-date version. With that said, I wouldn't buy one without verifying. FWIW, the version that I have with the date is reference # 3551.20.00. The blued hands look blue in certain lights (like your photos), and black in others.

I’d be extraordinarily surprised if that was genuine.

That's a gorgeous Speedy!! Normally I prefer the OG black, but this one is really nice!

So many Speedy's to little capital 😆

Tough to tell for sure based on blurry, out of focus pictures.

How so?

It's a franken or a fake. A variant of this dial was a mod job that was specifically made to echo another Speedmaster with a different hand set.

Edit: You know I'm not so certain anymore. The dial text is different in the mods. Worthy of more research.

I've also noticed that the dot for the 90 marker on the tachymeter bezel appears off. On my Broad Arrow, the dot is beside the 90, but at the top, whereas in your photo, the dot is beside the 90 in the middle. Also, the crown guards don't look right. Even when my crown is fully out, there isn't the same gap between the crown and the crown guards that appear in the photos.

You are right, good catch. The dots at the 90-100-110 look really off

The only no date version (at the six anyway) that I'm aware of is the blue broad arrow with a moonphase (and that one is tech a Speedy Pro)

No problem! It was listed on a website and I was wondering if I found a gem
