Date or no Date

If given the choice between a watch with date or no date what is your preference??

I find the date complication really useful, but I like the clean look of no date.

I use the date complication through the day and I miss it on the watches that don’t have it.

·

If I'm wearing it a few times a week, or it is superior quartz technology, I want the date feature. If it is some oddball not seeing frequent use, forget it.

·

Personally I prefer not to have a date window even the watches that have them I wish they didn’t I fine it distracts from the dial.⭐️⏱️

Wish that watch companies would give us the choice!!

I spend more time and effort telling my watches the date than they do reminding me.

And then there’s the five times a year you have to remember that inane rhyme so you can tell your watch it’s got the date wrong.

If you have to look up the date more than once a day you should probably look into some brain training.

Depends on the watch & the execution of the date window.

Some examples...

3 o'clock with a cyclops? Pass

6 o'clock with nice framing & dial matched date wheel? Yes please!

I usually prefer a watch without date window buuut

I really like the AT, way more than the BB.

The date at 6 doesn't bother me that much when it's well executed (thanks to the microbrands like Formex, C.Ward, Traska), like on that AT.

For me it depends on the watch. For example on the AT it looks very natural. But something like a SBGW301, it looks perfect without the date.

My pref is no date

I don't like a date function, I prefer the look without it
