What is your opinion on Invicta?

The 2 Invicta Watches I have, are decent quality, and I do like them. Though Im hesitant on buying more to review on my website (Not out yet, comin soon). I love the designs, but hate how all of them are “marked down” from a high MSRP. It makes me really wonder about the quality that even their more expensive watches are. So Id like any opinions if you have them! 👇

Some decent offerings and some gaudy godawful beasts, chacon a son gout with the watches.

However the company has a history of outright lies about their products(Swiss made labeled watches with Chinese movements, they invented the Russian Diver type watches, fake MOP) their CS is abysmal, and shoddy warranty work-which you are charged 28 bucks for).

Honestly, I only like two watches from invicta, that being the pro diver/grand diver and my boba fett limited edition. I had one of their aviators and that thing was huge so I ended up selling it.

Only have the boba fett in my collection atm because the pro diver I bought (off Amazon) was supposed to be a blue dial and came with a gold dial instead. Ended up giving it to my sister

My thoughts exactly. And you go to the website and you get all these different “Sales”, such as “Rock Bottom Sale”, “Final Liquidation”, “Red Tag Sale”. So with this, it makes it really hard for me to justify the cool little designs they have, and buy more. Cause like I said, I love some of the designs, but the trust for the company is wavering.

That boba fett one looks sick! I remember seeing that when scrolling through. They have good designs, and fun ones. But like I said, all these different “Sales” make it difficult for me to want to buy them. I don’t necessarily collect for quality (I dont need a rolex), I collect for fun designs. Though I do want it to feel like it is good quality, and not just some hunk of plastic.

I think if you look hard, you can find a nice looking Invicta watch. And they use decent mechanical movements for their mechanical watches, line Seiko NH35. Do not know anything about movements in their quartz models. I've been looking at them for past 10+ years because we like taking cruises and they are sold on every cruise ship. I think the deep discounts (over 70%) on these watches is their marketing approach since I have seen the same discounts throughout all the years I've been looking at them. Do not let that stop you if you like the watch.

A disclaimer, I have never purchased, not do I plan to purchase an Invicta watch. The main reason is that all cruise ships are also full of Citizen watches and I like those more.

·

Are they loud and over the top? Yes most of them are! Are they comfortable to wear? Hell no they're heavy as hell! Will they ever be accepted in the watch communities? Most of their offerings will not. But are they different and fun? Most definitely they are.

Yes! I have seen Invicta on both of the cruises I have been on, and so has my friend. So I know royal Caribbean and Carnival both do! But yes Citizen has definitely taken my heart after this last cruise when I bought my first citizen watch. And yes I agree that those giant sales are definitely a marketing thing, for me it really doesn’t feel like a good one but hey, they are still up and running so i guess its working lol

Agreed 100%! I for sure know that the watches that are like the one you have on the right are some that I would definitely buy! But yes they are a very unique brand!

I would not stray beyond the Pro Diver or perhaps the Grand Diver line and stay with automatic movements. I've owned a Pro Diver for a couple years and love it despite the tight bezel (which is loosening with time) and the terrible lume. I've owned one of their quartz chronographs, but it failed shortly after a battery change. The entire movement was tiny in comparison to the giant case diameter and the integrity depended on a plastic movement holder. All of those extra large cases have a tiny, cheap, and fragile quartz movements. I've been considering the 1953 with the NH35 in it, but I'm not sure it's that much better. I've assembled better Seiko mods but the Pro Diver is still fun to wear.

Pro divers definitely have a good feel to them. I have the one that looks like the Rolex “Pepsi” (Rolex GMT? Or something like that). And I do really like it!

Bought a Pro Diver over two years ago. From a quality standpoint it was a step down compared to what AliExpress brands have to offer, so I used to Pro Diver to practice modding.
