Next Watch

I’ve decided I’m not gonna go beyond three regular watches and learned that more does not equal better. I have a Seiko turtle to sell and My grandfathers watch which I keep but won’t wear (out of fear of losing it cause sentimental value). I do have a couple of Casios as beaters but I want to round out my main three with something special. I already have a Longines Hydroconquest and a Hamilton Khaki Field but want some opinions on what the third should be so I’ve got some options, any others I haven’t included comment below I’ll read them all, oh and anyone who does own watches from the smaller brands listed what are they like to own since it’s not always possible to go and try them on.

I honestly think I've bought my last watch...but if I ever get the call for the Panda Daytona, it will be hard to say no.

Sorry, are you asking what the last watch I bought was?

In an ideal world that would be my number one pick too tbh, all the watch you could ever need in my opinion.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport

El Primero Chronomaster Sport Stainless Steel 41mm. Great watch, watch lovers will know what it is and they will appreciate you wearing it, can dress up or down with it.

The current ones, (which they’ve stopped making due to problems in the colouring), aren’t as good as the older ones. The Batgirl is better, plus, they’ve increased production to compensate.

Honestly. I’d say either just buy a Rolex or an Omega. You could try a Panerai, but you need the wrist to display it properly.

Either way, I hate to say this, it won’t be your last!

There is no last watch, even when you’ve spent tens of thousands. All you do is start looking at cheaper fun watches for a few hundred quid; a kind of anti-flex.

Go for a bigger brand. Good to have a mix of things.

I agree, more does not equal better. I’m reducing from 10 to 5, maybe down to 3. You can only wear one at a time, may as we’ll be good ones (and one beater)!

There is a notable quality difference with an Omega or Rolex vs your current quality watches.

Last for a while anyway, I can’t see myself spending more and more I don’t really see the value in it anymore I think there’s better things to buy plus 3 is just a nice number

Buy a big brand but buy a model you like, don’t buy a sub, Daytona for example because of the hype or everyone else has them just buy a watch that connects with you 👍🏻

I do like the Explorer 40, I’m a fan of a more rugged vintage look, the Daytona (sorry to all owners out there) is too posh for my taste and style it’s more something you buy when you’ve become an executive at your company or something.

I have a watch buying method that gives me happiness……. Buy what you like👍🏻
