Explorer 36 or 40?

Got the chance to try on both sizes of Explorers today, which do you think suits my 6.75" wrist better? I think I prefer the 36...

36mm is the quintessential size and it looks good on you. Stay with the classics, especially when those kinds of money are involved.

There is no "correct" size that any watch should be no matter how "classic" it's supposed to be. That said, I think 36 is the right fit for your wrist.

“Team 36” here. I tried on the 39mm Explorer at an AD years ago (before the 124270 came out) and it just didn’t look right to me. Got the new 36mm earlier this year and love it. Compared it with the 40mm a couple of months ago. WhileI think it looks better than the old 39, it’s still to big to be an Explorer in my eyes.

36mm on my 6.75 inch wrist…

And both side by side…

Both work. Both look good. But that watch is “meant” to be a 36mm.

36 looks better imho

36mm.

All my 36mm watches are shared or borrowed by my wife and now my daughter has started eyeing them too..

Rule of thumb: buy bigger watches if you don't want to share them.

36mm is the way ❤️🎯🎯🤙

Thanks everyone for the votes and comments, I ended up registering for the Explorer 36 - it just felt right! Now the wait begins 😀

Fair enough, but it goes both ways! Having a smaller wrist I can wear some of my wife's watches!
