2024 acquisition Plan (Edit)
After a monstrous acquisitive year, where I purchased 12 watches, I hope to be excercise more restrain in 2024. However, I already have an extensive wish list and I’m afraid what the year might usher. So here’s the list.
Has to be one of my all time fav watches. The Patek Aquanaut.
The Rolex day date gold and green. I think I need this in my life.
I’ve been wanting the Omega diver 300 forever - since I remember watching Pierce Brosnan wear it. And I think I want it in the new color.
Lately I’ve been smitten by the Rolex sky dweller and the complications it brings along with it. The more I look at it the more I lust after it. Not sure if I’m going to be able to get it immediately but hey it’s a list, it’s my list and I think I want it on this list.
So that’s my planned list so far. I hope I don’t go about making impulse buys like my last watch (look up that thread 😉). What’s your 2024 to Buy list looking like?

For me 2024 will be a year of no more than 3 purchases. Nothing flashy, probably just g shocks. Lots of spending last year so replenish my savings.
I Told my wife 1 watch purchase per year moving forward. On one hand it keeps me accountable, and on the other it makes me be more thoughtful and intentional with what I select for my collection. With that in mind, I am thinking of an IWC pilot, a 9F quartz Grand Seiko, an Omega Dynamic Chronograph, or a Longines Sprit Titanium/ Big Eye Chrono. Or something else. Heck, this is what I mean, lol.
I like that people are sharing their purchase plans for the new year…really putting some thought into things
Atelier Wen Perception Ying, Grand Seiko SBGW 287 Boshū, Minase Window Hakose Steel Kamon, RGM Custom watch built off of the 222-RR design (I want an in house movement in the watch instead of a vintage Hamilton movement), and whatever Kurono Tokyo plans to release in 2024.
I tried on the Sky Dweller today at a boutique. I fell in love.
I normally formulate my plans for the year during W&W. I have some general ideas of pieces I want like a Daytona & GMT-Master II. GS might come out with a watch I want in the spring and so could Glashütte Original. I normally like to see what the brands come out with and then formulate my plans to acquire those watches in the latter part of the year.
I'm with you on the Omega SMP Diver 300, although I'm planning on purchasing the white dial this year.
And the Sky Dweller, oh man, the Sky Dweller. One of my all time favorite Rolexes, but it'll be a while before I can get one. But I will one day!

My target for the upcoming year is one single high end acquisition - ap royal oak, either the 38 chrono or the 37 time and date
Breitling Navitimer, unless something amazing comes out at Watches & Wonders that knocks my socks off.
