New Watch Friday - JLC Master Control Date with black dial

Iโ€™ve been after this piece for a few years, but due to its 11k CAD price tag, whenever there was a budget for it, I ended up prioritizing other pieces...

H. Moser Pioneer - is it too big at 42.8mm?

Considering this as my next piece - usually I stick to 40mm and under, and was wondering if this watch is actually a bit too big, or my perception jus...

Definitely does, I donโ€™t believe in babying watches - if itโ€™s a watch I wouldnโ€™t feel comfortable wearing regularly I just wouldnโ€™t buy it (such as why I donโ€™t have any gold ones - PMs are very soft, and I wouldnโ€™t want to bang it up quickly). This GMT gets about 1-3 days each week

Damn right! Finally someone posts a watch truly worth admiring, instead of all the usual Swiss made crap

Jeff, you have beautiful watches! That being said though, itโ€™d be great if you could take the wristshots just a tad from a bigger distance - they seem too up close, and it prevents the true proportions of the watch from being visible.

I only say this because you have some rarer pieces here, that arenโ€™t often seen on the app, and it would be great to see them in its full glory:) for my tastes personally, I think this Czapek and the green dial GP deserve another photo op

I would suggest a nice dress watch to have a more formal option, preferably something that can be dressed both up and down so itโ€™s not sitting idle in the box unless youโ€™re all suited up. Iโ€™ve recently picked up a JLC Master Control Date to fill that niche for myself, but the options are plentiful in that segment and for any budget.

If you want to stay with the sportier bulkier watches Iโ€™d recommend either a Blancpain for something different and horologically relevant for the collection, or a German style marine watch such as Dornbluth & Sohn, or something like Stowa in the more budget friendly category.
