Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I started in the jewelry industry when I was 15. Started buying and collecting at 19.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
First watch was a gift from family, an old Casio. Probably 8 years old. Found a jelly Swatch when I was 11.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have a watch that I found along the beach in Maui. Half buried, beat up, been there for some time. Turned it in to the local police. A year later it shows up in my mailbox as it went unclaimed.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Go slow. Taste change. If you get bored with a piece, change up the strap.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Brands I can actually go and buy today.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I refuse to have a grail watch.
