Never understood people's obsession with getting a full wind on an automatic. Get the seconds hand moving, set it and put it on, boom done. In automatics, the mainspring will rotate inside the barrel to prevent over winding. But this is not something you want to unnecessarily do because it's a metal spring sliding against the metal inside of the barrel. Yes there's breaking grease in there, but its something that will wear with time, more so when always fully wound.
