I love the way the colours compliment each other. Your combination of the earthy brown suede with the green dial really make me think of nature and exploration!

Thank you, it's the Perugia strap from ColaReb. I think it's still available from some online shops.
The Sarb 017 is my favorite watch in my collection. A true GADA watch. I will never sell it no matter what other pieces may join the collection. Enjoy!
I wore mine yesterday on a tan sailcloth strap. I took my kids to a local Lego shop in the Atlanta area and one of the employees there was wearing a SARB017 as well :D

Wow what are the chances? Looks like you're holding hands. =)
The original strap though... Great colour, but very stiff and uncomfortable. I switched it to this Uncle Seiko jubilee and POP!
The original strap is truly awful and more akin to a stiff plastic manacle than a watch band. It's only redeeming quality is that being so cheaply made it's fully recyclable and can be made into compost.
It truly is a beautiful watch. It was close to being my first Seiko, but I went another way. Every time I see a picture of it though, I think maybe a second Seiko isn't far from being acquired.
I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.

It's a beautiful watch! Very strap friendly, But I love it on the strap code bracelet I put on it. I wear it in the water and out to dinner.

Wearing the SARB017 on a bracelet was something I considered before, but in the end I remain someone who prefer leather straps.

Romance of the SARBs is a sacred bond of men! 😄

It truly was a special moment of my life. Never seen another Alpinist out in the wild!

AMEN!!
Totally agree with you. I just can't take my eyes off the green-gold dial combination 🤯
I absolutely love my Alpinist.
Here is mine on the top of Mt. Fuji.
I wear mine more than my Rolex Sub, just something about it which I don’t get with other watches.
this one is my favourite alpinist, minus the compass feature 😂
I got one of the last on Amazon. I don't wear it much these days, but I'll always have it around.

Wearing mine on a bund strap.
