Oy Ahoi, why do you have to be so lickable?
It never fails and every single time that I pull my 36mm Nomos Ahoi out of the watch box to strap it on my wrist, I'm forced to admit that it looks like a piece of candy.
The main culprits are the color scheme and the size. 36mm is still within the territory of lollipops and the tangerine dial with its orange small second's hand is just of the right color to invoke one of these candies that are so conveniently placed near the check out counter of convenience stores.
Or cough syrup, since I'm still dealing with a cold and they are usually colored in some kind of red dye to convince you that taking a spoonful will have some real effect. It never does but it's hard to break habits that have been ingrained in your psyche since childhood.
Anyway, I can't stop myself from looking at it and thinking that I could tear off the cellophane wrapping and lick it into oblivion.
I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.

After reading your post I think you shouldn't take the strap off the watch because you might swallow it.

It's not going to happen. The Ahoi has lugs that looks too much like cleats. That's not a watch that will get swallowed anytime soon.

It's not worth stealing when you learn that it takes such a hit on the second hand market that it's possible to get a legit near mint exemplary for 50% of its original retail price.
I just meant I'd steal that from my hubby... if it was his watch. Lolol I consider his collection as my shopping zone.😀
