That one wouldn't be considered vintage. It uses the 9F62 movement so the oldest the watch could be is 1997. The newest it would be is 2017 for that model.

Thank you for the comment! :) I do not have the knowledge of the exact year of production for my watch as I did not get any papers for it since it was a gift, so I assumed that it might be even 25 years old. As the law in country where I live says that cars, building, painting etc etc older than 25 are vintage I used this analogy for the watch :)

People generally consider watches older then 30 years vintage. So 1994 or older. After 100 years would be antique.

You can find the production date for a Seiko fairly easy with the serial number on the back. The first number is the year and the second is the month O, N, and D for October November or December.

You know anything about serial number for orient to find the production year? Not sure if it is similar to Seiko?

Orients are more difficult to date with the serial number as sometimes the first digits reference the movement caliber and sometimes it's the date. It all depends when it was made. They didn't seem to have a consistent numbering system.
